QUALIFYING GAMES LIST COVID-19 Information NSG Steps Challenge A virtual steps and physical activity challenge for individuals 50 and older celebrating the path to 2022 National Senior Games presented by Humana – May 10-23, 2022 – Fort Lauderdale, FL. This challenge inspires you to own your on health and fitness a year prior to the 2022 National Senior Games. The Challenge” begins on 3/15 and ends on 4/12 of 2021; the same date as the official closing of the 2022 Games. Invited participants include Senior Game athletes, senior centers, local governments, senior living communities and NSGA partners. Falls Prevention Resources Falls can be devastating. Falls are the leading cause of nonfatal injuries among older adults. One out of ten falls causes a serious injury, such as a hip fracture or head injury, which requires hospitalization. QUALIFYING INFORMATION Qualifying Information and COVID-19 Update Together we are in the midst of unchartered territory as the pandemic has affected all of us in a variety of ways. Every major event and sports organization has been impacted. This situation has required a one-time adjustment for the 2022 National Senior Games qualifying process. Exercise & Wellbeing Resources Many fitness centers and gyms are closed in support of containing COVID-19. We are all expected to do our part to maintain the recommended social distance, but Senior Games athletes can still follow a fitness routine to prepare to qualify for next year’s National Senior Games.
